Natrad Phillip has been a Natrad workshop since 1988 and are members of the Natrad Heavy Duty Cooling (HDS) group. The workshop opened back in 1977 and today is operated by the second generation of the Doble family. Sons Toby and Ben have around 40 years’ of heat exchange industry experience between them and understand the needs of their customers.

Canberra Truck Repairs (CTR) was established 38 years ago by John and Imelda Gildea and are themselves second generation family business with 3 sons now involved. They are dealers for Kenworth, Isuzu and DAF trucks, along with Cummins and Caterpillar Engines and have a well-deserved reputation in the ACT and Southern NSW regions for their outstanding service and workmanship.

Service Manager, Declan Gildea, has been with CTR for 20 years after first learning the ropes with Caterpillar in Sydney. Declan is proud to point out that many of their 25 staff are long-term quality employees who really know their craft.

As Declan puts it “Our customers, like all transport operators, are time-poor and need to be back on the road as fast as possible, so when it comes to cooling issues, we rely on Natrad HDS Phillip as our go-to people.”

Declan is very quick to say that Toby, Ben and the crew at Natrad HDS Phillip often go out of their way to ensure a job is picked up, completed and delivered back fast. It’s one of the reasons Natrad HDS workshops have such loyal customers.

To cover the areas surrounding the ACT, Snowy Mountains, Monaro and Goulburn, CTR has a fleet of 8 service vehicles including 3 dedicated breakdown trucks to provide quick assistance and recovery to look after the operators.
