What We Do

When we select a new radiator for your 4WD, we take the intended driving conditions and any engine modifications into consideration. Our specialists may suggest various options that can provide extra cooling performance.

For extra cooling, a radiator can be specified with more rows, or upgraded to a full alloy performance radiator. Aftermarket and OE plastic aluminium radiators are available for installing on modern vehicles.

Copper brass re-cores and complete assembly replacement radiators can also be selected even if the original radiator has a different construction. Automotive-style brass core radiators can be fitted to 4WDs to help them cope with corrosive environments.

Before fitting the new radiator, a cooling system flush will be performed to remove old coolant and any loose debris. At the time of fitting, new hoses and clamps may also be necessary.

Once the installation is complete, the cooling system will be filled using a quality corrosion inhibitor.

  • What are the main advantages of having a full alloy radiator?

    The full alloy radiators supplied by Natrad include high-performance cores for extra cooling. Aluminium tanks are much stronger than plastic and can withstand higher pressures.

  • Can I get a heavy duty copper radiator for my 4WD?

    Yes, you can. Natrad can upgrade your 4×4’s standard radiator to a heavy duty copper core even if the original unit was plastic and aluminium. Ask us about options and pricing.

  • How do I know if I need to upgrade the radiator in my 4WD?

    If your 4×4’s engine temperature reads high during normal driving, then you should definitely get the cooling system checked. If you have modified your engine, frequently carry loads, or tow a trailer, then your engine would benefit from having extra cooling capacity. Talk to your nearest Natrad for advice.

  • Can you carry out a test on my 4WD’s radiator?

    Our radiator repair specialists can perform a simple pressure test on your 4WD’s radiator, In order to identify the source of a leak, the radiator may have to be removed and immersed in a test tank.
