Glynn Davies owns a mechanical repairs business which has operated from the same site in Botany, NSW for 20 years. Glynn started his mechanical career 44 years ago with Leyland and if you make your way past the buses, prime movers and trucks in his workshop, you’ll find his prized Mini Clubman tucked away in the back.
After decades in business, Glynn’s workshop is well known in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Glynn and his wife Lynda are very proud of the work they do and the clientele that they service. Local schools entrust them with their buses and with Royal Randwick nearby, it’s not surprising that Glynn is the chosen repairer for horse transport service work. Whether the precious cargo is local school children or Australia’s finest racehorses, Glynn is responsible for keeping them comfortable and ensuring they arrive safely at their destination.
Glynn Davies Mechanical Repairs employs up to 12 people when the workload gets busy. Glynn is proud of all his staff including Sumica (Mika) who has been with the business for 6 years since starting as an apprentice with them. Another point of pride for the business is having strong relationships with dependable suppliers.
Glynn proudly boasts they only use one brand of oil and never vary. The same can be said for their cooling system specialists, Natrad Marrickville (formerly JJ Smith) who Glynn describes as “my go-to people when quality cooling solutions are required”.

In that time, plenty has changed in vehicle cooling technology but the Natrad team have maintained an old-fashioned approach to looking after their customers, with an emphasis on great quality and outstanding service. This highly regarded Natrad shop is owned by Sunny Wong who has over 18 years in the industry and is managed by Nic Song with 27 years.
