What We Do

Our cooling system specialists will assess the condition of your vehicle’s cooling system. After an initial inspection, our specialists will identify any faults or damage. In some cases, a few parts such as a hose, water pump, or pressure cap may need replacing.

If any issues are diagnosed, our specialists will provide you with a detailed quote before any cooling system repairs are carried out. Your vehicle’s cooling system repair comes with a free cooling system inspection and all workmanship carried out is covered by Natrad’s nationwide warranty.

  • What is an engine cooling system?

    An engine cooling system prevents your vehicle from overheating. If the engine temperature drops too low, your vehicle will churn through more fuel. If it rises too high, for too long, the engine can be damaged or destroyed.

    A cooling system is made up of a:

    • Radiator and radiator cap to control the pressure within the system
    • Thermostat
    • Water pump to circulate coolant
    • Connecting hoses for coolant transfer

    An engine cooling system works by passing coolant from the engine to the radiator. As the coolant moves through these parts, it absorbs heat from the engine.

    The warm fluid is then passed through a rubber hose to the radiator, where it is air-cooled before returning to the engine to collect more heat.
