- Why upgrade to a performance alloy radiator rather than keep my original one?
When you increase the engine power of your vehicle, more heat is produced. This means that to extract maximum performance, you need to increase your car’s cooling capacity too. The right performance alloy radiator will allow you to gain maximum efficiency and performance from your vehicle.
- What makes a performance radiator better?
Most passenger vehicles are fitted with standard plastic-aluminium radiators. While these are lightweight and have excellent thermal efficiency, the aluminium core and plastic tanks can be damaged if not treated with care. Upgrading to a performance alloy radiator that has stronger welded construction with a high efficiency core gives you better durability and effective high performance cooling demanded by modified vehicles.
- Will a alloy radiator look great under the bonnet?
Performance alloy radiators are polished to shine, making them perfect for ‘show & shine’ events where you want your vehicle to look its best inside and out.
- What types of vehicles does Natrad supply performance radiators for?
Natrad supply high performance radiators for classic and modern cars, 4WD’s, off-road race vehicles, drift cars, drag racing cars, motorbikes and quad bikes, sprint cars, hot rods, street machines and track race cars.
- How well does Natrad know performance alloy radiators?
Many of our Natrad workshops have close ties with motorsport teams and car enthusiasts. Their regular customers include leading engine performance workshops who appreciate the high quality performance cooling products Natrad can supply.
- Can I buy a performance alloy radiator 'off-the-shelf'?
Yes, Natrad have access to hundreds of part number performance alloy radiators that can be ordered for direct fit into popular vehicles. Contact a specialist on 131 723 to find out if we have a performance alloy radiator to suit your vehicle.
- Can I fit a performance alloy radiator myself?
Yes, you can, provided you follow the correct installation process. You must properly flush the cooling system before installing the new radiator, and perform a stray current check once complete. Failure to follow these steps will void your warranty.
Upgrading the cooling system may require additional components like a thermostat, water pump, hoses, fans and pressure caps. Your Natrad specialist can advise which parts you need for your application.
