A faulty water pump is indicated by steam coming from the radiator, a coolant leak at the front-centre of the car, engine overheating, or high-pitched whining from the motor indicating a loose pulley. If you experience any of these, take your vehicle to a cooling specialist immediately to diagnose and fix the problem.

First, have your new water pump correctly installed by a good technician. Poor installation is one of the main causes of premature water pump failure. When the water pump is installed, it’s essential that the seals are correctly lubricated, belts are correctly installed, and the right coolant is used.
